Grainway, of Aplington, Iowa, has a new product that can help you store beans in the bin on the farm and handle them gently. It is a portable bin unloading auger that can be used in different sized bins. The conveyor is only 8 1/2 inches tall and 13 inches wide and can fit under the floor of a bin. It has an all new easy opening bin chutes with a plastic slider plates, 1 1/4 inch ball bearings and industrial strength rollers. These conveyors work in bins ranging from 18 to 60 feet in size. Hydraulic or electric drive is available. One popular model sells for $4,092. Set up costs are $360 for each bin. One average, Grainway sells one conveyor to six grain bins, for a cost of $6,252.
