According to USDA's National Agricultural Statistics Service, dry bean conditions in North Dakota rated 2 percent poor, 15 fair, 63 good and 20 excellent. Blooming was 66 percent, well ahead of 35 last year and 32 average. Setting pods was 4 percent.
In Minnesota, 47 percent of the crop was blooming with 8 percent setting pods. Dry bean condition rated 84 percent good to excellent.
Dry bean conditions in the state of Washington rated 11 percent fair and 89 good.
The Idaho dry bean crop rated 1 percent poor, 22 fair, 72 good and 5 excellent.
In Oregon, 5 percent of dry beans rated poor, 60 fair and 35 excellent.
The Michigan dry bean condition rated 4 percent very poor, 12 poor, 41 fair, 41 good and 2 excellent. Blooming was 9 percent, ahead of 3 percent last year and around 8 percent average.
On Sunday, Colorado had 34 percent of dry beans bloomed. That's ahead of 20 percent average and 20 percent one week ago. The crop condition rated 12 percent very poor, 25 poor, 14 fair, 38 good and 11 excellent.
